Who I Am

I'm Carrie Scrufari.

I live and work in Louisville, Kentucky, but thanks to the remote-friendly world we live in, I take clients from anywhere. I bring a love for design, a commitment to strong communication, years of experience, and strategic thinking to clients in all industries. I love design because it impacts people’s lives in a thousand tiny ways that make a difference—from branding or typography you won’t forget to exhibition design that celebrates the artwork, from well-organized paragraph styles to mural design.

Outside of my work as a graphic designer, I’m also an abstract artist, interior design dabbler, and avid museum-goer.

This is how I got here.

I’m not exactly sure what started my journey into graphic design. It could have been as early as age two, when I avidly typed on an MS-DOS computer. In high school, I started doing freelance graphic design work before pursuing a BFA in graphic design, which I finished in 2016. In total, I have 12 years of experience doing freelance work, and 8 years of experience working professionally as a designer in the nonprofit arts and healthcare industries. I bring all my varied experiences to my freelance work today.
